Constitution

Junior Home

 

Name;

·         The name of the Club shall be Halifax Irish Junior Amateur Rugby League Football Club.

Aims;

·         To be an amateur Junior Rugby League Club.

·         To provide a leisure facility for the young people of Halifax and the surrounding area to participate in the game of Rugby League.

·         To provide a safe environment for all participants and volunteers.

·         To teach the basics of Rugby League to youngsters in the community.

·         To play our part in eradicating ALL forms of racist behaviour as laid down by BARLA / RFL and the district Playing Leagues.

Membership;

·         Membership of the Club shall be open to youngsters, irrespective of race or gender, between the ages of 6 and 18.

·         The amount of weekly subs and signing on fees will be determined at each AGM.

Meetings;

·         General Committee meetings are to be held each calendar month, at the Halifax Irish Centre.

·         The teams shall practice weekly at times both convenient to the coaches and players.

·         The Annual General Meeting is to be held following the end of each playing season, and not before the West Riding League’s AGM.

Committee;

·         To be elected from volunteers within the Club and deal with matters arising as an elected body. Chairperson to conduct meetings with reports from the Secretary and Treasurers.

·         All committee members are to work together as a team for the good of the Club.

Officers Elect; 

·         Chairperson,

·         Vice-Chairperson,

·         Club Secretary,

·         Treasurers,

·         Fixtures Secretary,

·         Registration Secretary,

·         Child Protection Officer.

Other Elected Officials to include;

·         Team Coaches and Team Managers.

·         Trophy Officer To be elected each year at the AGM.

·         General Committee Members.

Representatives;

·         One representative from the Committee to attend;

·         WRYARL meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month.

·         HXARL meetings on the 1st Monday of each month.

·         Service Area meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month.

·         Junior Clubs meetings, no set calendar for these meetings.

·         Halifax Irish ARLFC Open Age committee.

Code of Practice;

·         Each member of the Club shall abide by the Clubs’ rules as laid down by the committee. Any member causing a nuisance, using foul and abusive language, making racist remarks, will appear before the Committee. The Club will not be responsible for fines incurred by the actions of said individuals. Any individual involved in brawling will be reported to the relevant League and the Governing Bodies for potential fine. This is an individual fine, noting the Club can be severly punished for these irresponsible actions. This behaviour WILL NOT be tolerated by the Club and the Committee will take serious action to safeguard the Club and its’ members to see this does not happen again.

Child Protection;

·         We will as a Club actively support the participation in this scheme, and will adopt and adhere to the BARLA/RFL Child Protection Policy. We will as a Club ensure ALL coaches, members, and Team Managers complete a Criminal Record Bureau check form which will be forwarded to the Governing Body by the Club Secretary/Child protection Officer.

Presentation of Trophy’s;

·         We will distribute a trophy, funds permitting, at the end of each playing season to each signed-on player who is playing for the Club at that time, and has played 5 games. Irrespective of the games having been played as friendly’s, tournaments or League fixtures. Any player who leaves the Club and then re-joins, after a period of 2 weeks or more, will start again in the counting of games played.

Mobile Phones;

·         ALL mobile phones are to be turned off during a meeting of the General Committee.

Dissolvement;

·         In the event of the Club deciding to close then the equipment the Club has at that time will be offered for sale to other Clubs or players. Any funds the Club have will then be offered to a charity chosen by the General Committee.

Constitution;

·         Any changes to the Club Constitution, additions, or deletions must be made at the AGM with 14 days prior notice of intent. No other changes can be made at any other time.
